My name is Matthew Doucette, founder of NewBee University. I have a Masters in Education, but more importantly a love of bees and a passion for sharing that love with others. I am pleased to be able to have the opportunity to bring new students into the wonderful world of beekeeping and helping them build the foundation to making this a long term hobby. John Benham has been beekeeping full time for over 18 years and operates 40 colonies. He has been a queen rearer and breeder for over 15 years. He earned his master beekeeper certification from the Eastern Agriculture Society. He is a member of countless regional, state, and local beekeeping associations where he is a regular presenter on a wide range of beekeeping topics. He has a depth of knowledge few beekeepers ever obtain and we are lucky to have him as a contributing instructor at NewBee University.
